Overview
The counter half of the Logistika Urbana platform. Where the ERP is the back office, this is the app a cashier actually touches — a native Android tablet application handling sales, shifts, receipts, refunds and driver handovers.
It sells the same catalogue as the Yoon Lab storefront, off the same stock. The physical store is not a separate business with its own system; it is the same inventory, reached from a counter instead of a browser.
It is not a web page in a wrapper. It is a Kotlin and Jetpack Compose application with its own local database, built so the shop floor keeps working when the connection does not.
The challenge
A point of sale is the one system in a retail business that cannot be down. Connectivity in a physical store is not guaranteed, and a terminal that stops taking payments the moment the network drops costs real money at the counter.
It also has to be trustworthy in a second sense: a shared tablet on a shop floor needs to know which warehouse it belongs to and which member of staff is standing in front of it, without a login screen slowing down every sale.
And it has to talk to hardware — a receipt printer, a barcode scanner, a cash drawer — none of which behaves like a browser API.
The solution
A Kotlin and Jetpack Compose application with a Room database on the device, so tickets are held locally and reconciled with the server rather than lost when the connection goes.
Device registration by hash: a tablet is paired to a specific warehouse once, then staff authenticate with a short PIN per shift instead of a full login per transaction.
Direct integration with a Star Micronics TSP100III receipt printer, plus barcode and QR scanning, so the peripherals on the counter are driven from the app rather than through a workaround.
Shift management with cash reconciliation, pay-in and pay-out tracking, and refunds against an existing receipt — the operations a real counter needs at the end of a day, not just at the point of sale.
A driver handover flow for delivery orders, cash collection and restock, connecting the counter to the dispatch module in the ERP.
